SYNTHESIS OF THE ODU.
The secret of the binding spell is born. The horse and ox speak in this sign. Intelligence should be utilized rather than brute force. We should pray a lot to Shango and Yemaya. This is an Odu of war wherein intelligence will always win out.
WORK TO BE DONE FOR THIS ODU
Take baths and clean the house periodically with the following herbs: guisazo de caballo, maloja and almendra.
Ifa says: It is recommended that mutual respect be maintained between minors and elders and vice versa, as much in the religious sector as in the society as a whole.
Ifa says: It is recommended that physical and emotional abuse of women be avoided.
Ifa says: It is recommended that marriages be cared for and that we provide good attention to our children with the final objective being to give them with an adequate education.
Ifa says: That we must preserve our religious secrets with ever more fervor and rigor.
Ifa says: We should be vigilant of clever people who manipulate us, for they could impede us and bring us problems with the authorities.
Ifa says: It is recommended that we fulfill any religious debts we may have especially those to Shango and Yemaya.
Ifa says: It is important to remind the Awos that there is no greater power than Orunmila (Ifa); the help of Osain should be employed to liberates us from sorcery and binding spells.
Ifa says: It is recommended that the religious community sleep with a light on in their bedrooms.
Ifa says: We must comply with the requisites of being religious people such as having systematic readings, doing the ebos that are marked in such readings and by attending to our Orishas.
Ifa says: This is an Odu of power, based fundamentally on the deity of Shango, who must be attended to on a regular basis in order for us to obtain stability in our lives.
Ifa says: It is recommended that we combine work with adequate time for relaxation in order to avoid mental, nervous system, and cardiovascular problems.
Ifa says: That we should reduce the ingestion of alcoholic beverages and the smoking habit because of the harmful effects of such practices specifically with regard to respiratory and digestive illnesses.
Ifa says: It is recommended that we maintain good oral health so as to avoid cavities and problems that can arise from lack of proper care.
Ifa says: Climactic zone catastrophes, such as hurricanes, penetrations of the sea, droughts, earthquakes and others, will continue. Therefore, it is recommended that we be on alert and take proper precautions in the face of these probable phenomena taking place.
Ifa says: This is an Odu of sorcery therefore we should avoid drinking and eating in places that are not of our confidence.
Ifa says: We must take much care in guarding against robbery.
Ifa says: This is an Odu of violence, therefore it is recommended that unless it is necessary, we avoid going out at night as it is possible that there will be an increase in street crime.
For general knowledge
On the first of December of 2005, the members of the Cuban Council of Elder Priests of Ifa with the presence of a significant number of Cuban Babalawos, and those of other countries, held ceremonies corresponding to the preamble of the 2006 Odu of the year which were carried out at the Yoruba Cultural Association of Cuba.
The recommendations of Ifa were the following:
Refresh Ogun with coconut water.
What was requested by the 25 fundamental positions was complied with, and in all cases, the response of the deities was satisfactory.
On December 30 2005, the corresponding sacrifices, which were determined in the preamble, were made to the proper deities.
